Burning the midnight oil…

Well…10pm oil but stil,

A month on and a few weekends later. No big stories to tell I’m afraid. I’ve been tired a lot from work lately and I haven’t gotten round to doing all I should be doing, like updating this weblog.

I’ve started scanning photo from the big trip, but it’s nog going as fast as I like and so this will take another few weeks, probably.

Also started work on restoring the Jeep properly. The oil-bath air filter, cross-over tube and fuel filter have all gotten a nice clean. Some of these items hadn’t been opened or cleaned in 40 years. No wonder it was running so rough. I’m currently waiting on some proper weather so I can go outside and do some tuning on the carburator. I also need some new gasket for the fuel filter. Actually the list of replacement parts is pretty big so I won’t bother you with that.

Last weekend I was in Hengelo Gelderland in “Het Achterhoeks Museum” . We spent the day doing a living history display on the parkinglot next to the museum. You’ll find some pictures in the galleries. Eventhough the rain tried to ruin everything, we still had a good time and saw a lot of smiling faces.

Planned for the next few weeks are the LPLG weekend and our yearly Chouffe Expedition. Should be some good fun there.

Time to introduce a relative newcomer to the online comic world: Banished created by Ryan Smith and Jamie Anderson, about the ill-fated alien Rak and his accidental friend Timbo the robot, who are both stranded on a not so friendly planet. Go and have a read, it’s good fun.

As for my taste in music hasn’t changed much….these days I’ve been mostly listening to a Russian band named Lyube (song “Kombat” kicks ass, eventhough I can’t understand a word) and a Neo-swing band called the Squirrel Nut Zippers (song “Put a lid on it”)

Anyway, all the best and feel free to leave a message (Except you spamming bastards! I’ve got Akishmet installed now and it’s so far stopped all spam from appearing on this board! hah!)
