Dang, this year’s just zooming past. Too many busy weekends, too many birthday parties. Re-enactment season hasn’t even started yet.
Not all the news has been good either. Two of my relatives were in the hospital. One my uncles died of a severe stroke and the other is having serious problems with his foot for a couple of weeks now. Hopefully the new treatment will help him out.
First chance to take one of the jeeps out for a spin is on the 24th (2nd day of Easter) where I’ll be participating in a Display. After that it’ll be April before the next event.
In the meantime the house is coming along nicely. Furniture is turning up ahead of schedule and the living room is almost livable. That means I can start living in the place at last. Though I still need a desk for my computer…. Plenty of stuff left to do to. The Bedroom won’t be here for another 4 weeks at least.
Updates…errr. sorry. Nothing yet this month. I’ve got a roll from my Minolta Dynax 500 waiting to be developed and I’ve got about half a roll left in my Leica. I want to finish that one before I go on.
I did manage to score a Polaroid 405 back to use with my Speed Graphic Cameras, but then the news came that Polaroid is going to cut production of their instant film this year. Good thing Fuji still makes the stuff.
Also finishing off my World War I USAS uniform. I’m still waiting for the boots I’ve ordered on February second. So far it’s not looking good for the seller. In the meantime I’ve ordered some more uniforms from The Replicaters for other 2 other Doughboys as well as some US M1917 Helmet liners from the Prairie Flower Leather Company.
Busy Busy Busy,
Rick
